How does the skin tag removal process work?
Your skin tag will be reviewed by nursing staff to make sure it is eligible for removal. They most often are, but we want to make sure that there are no further complications in future. Following nurse approval, they will treat the tag with nitrous oxide using a precision tool. This freezes the stalk and cuts off blood supply, killing it over the next few days. While it is painless, you might feel a tingling around the area of treatment.
In the days following your treatment, your tag gets darker, dry out and fall off to leave a dark patch of skin. This will vanish in a few days and you then may resume your regular skincare routine when the area has returned to usual.
