WART REMOVAL Shropshire

All skin tag clients at our Shropshire Wart Removal Clinic will have their tag or tags clinically assessed by one of our nurses. Almost all tags are suitable for cryotherapy. After assessment, our nurse will apply a pen-like precision tool to freeze the skin tag with nitrous oxide. Known as N20, nitrous oxide will stop the flow of blood to the skin tag. Very cold, the nitrous oxide effectively kills the tag through stemming its blood flow.

At no time will the precision tool used pierce the skin. You might feel a sensation like that of the nib of a ballpoint pen upon your skin. When applying the nitrous oxide, the nurse may decide to apply the pen more than once during treatment. This normally depends on the size of the tag being treated. Tags can usually be treated entirely in one session; however particularly large tags might require a follow-up session. 

Following cryotherapy, clients can feel a gentle tingling sensation around the treatment area. The treatment doesn’t hurt, but you can discover that have a slight stinging feeling for the remainder of the day of treatment.

After application of nitrous oxide, the skin tag will darken over the coming days. This change in colour will likely be joined by the tag crusting and drying out. A good sign, this is evidence that the tag is dying. Within a few days, your tag will fall off. At this point, you might notice a small mark, but this will go in time. When the area has totally healed, you can practice your skin care routine as normal.
